- She was two-years-old when her mother re-married Grimesby Roylott (SPEC 73) and was brought up at Stoke Moran (SPEC 79).
- Percy Armitage asked Helen Stoner in marriage (SPEC 184).
- She consulted Sherlock Holmes after her sister Julia died in strange circumstances and was threatened herself (SPEC 29).
- Sherlock Holmes prevented her from being killed by her step-father Grimesby Roylott (SPEC 564).
