The Engineer's Thumb (1892)
- The station-master at Eyford station indicated the direction of Dr. Becher's house to Inspector Bradstreet (ENGR 459).
The Hound of the Baskervilles (1901)
- When Dr. Watson and Henry Baskerville arrived in the station, it was evidently a great event, for station-master and porters clustered round them to carry out their luggage (HOUN 1207).
The Dancing Men (1903)
- When Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson arrived at North Walsham, the station-master told them that both Mr Hilton Cubitt and his wife were shot (DANC 251).
The Valley of Fear (1914)
- Professor Moriarty's younger brother was a station-master in the West of England (VALL 354).
