The Norwood Builder (1903)

  • Dr. Watson had on his notes the case of the papers of the ex-President Murillo (NORW 13).

Wisteria Lodge (1908)

aka Marquess of Montalva

  • Don Juan Murillo, a bloodthirsty tyrant who lead a reign of terror in Central America, known as The Tiger of San Pedro (WIST 754). He was overthrown, but somehow managed to escape to Europe, as Mr. Henderson (WIST 678).
  • Miss Burnet got herself hired as governess at Murillo's house in order to be able to inform the others about his doings (WIST 708). Aloysius Garcia was supposed to come to enact the revenge, but Murillo discovered the plot, held Miss Burnet prisoner, and killed the young man (WIST 715).
  • He fled to Spain as Marquess of Montalva and was murdered in Madrid by his enemies (WIST 757).
