  • When Lucy was forced to marry Enoch J. Drebber (2186) and died within a month (2203), Jefferson devoted his life to vengeance.
  • He chased Drebber for twenty years (2308) and murdered Drebber and his accomplice Joseph Stangerson in London, which started the Study in Scarlet affair.
