A Rover Chanty (1901)

J. Curwen & Sons was a British publishing company, founded by Reverend John Curwen (1816-1880) in 1863, based in London (UK) that published music sheets. The company was later named the Curwen Press, working both as a music and book publisher, but J. Curwen & Sons became independent in 1933, and continued to operate until the 1970's. Curwen Press closed in 1984.

In 1901, the company published 4 musical adaptations of poems written by Arthur Conan Doyle.
