This letter was written by Arthur Conan Doyle in 1895 from Mena (Egypt) to Douglas Ainslie [1] (1865-1948, a Scottish poet, critic and diplomat) about a trip to Jerusalem while Conan Doyle was in Egypt.

Dear Ainslie

Have you ever been to Jerusalem ? If not would you care to come with me ? It would be possible to do it in a few days there and back via Alexandria and Jaffa — if there is no quarantine.
