The marriage took place quietly on Monday at Minstead Church, New Forest, of Mr. Adrian Malcolm Conan Doyle, second son of the late Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Lady Conan Doyle, of Bignell Wood, Minstead, to Miss Anna Charlotte Andersen, only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Andersen, of Copenhagen. The Rev. H. Horton (rector) officiated.

The bride, who was given away by Mr. Innes Foley (cousin of the bridegroom), wore a mediaeval gown of white satin, made in Scandinavia, and a tulle veil. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and lilies of the valley.

Mr. Denis Conan Doyle, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

After the ceremony a reception was held at Cuffnells, Lyndhurst. The bride and bridegroom left on Wednesday on a shooting expedition in West Africa.

Those present at the church included: Lady Conan Doyle, Miss Jean Conan Doyle, Miss Mary Conan Doyle, Mrs. Denis Conan Doyle, Mr. Francis Doyle, Mrs. Innes Foley, the Marquis Julio de Amodio, Miss Angela Ashmead Bartlett, Mrs. Horton and Miss Horton, Mr. Desmond Nicholas, Mr. Ambrose Sedgwick, Miss Cynthia Sedg-wick, Mr. Robin Sanders-Clark, Miss Ruth Smith and Miss Babs Thorn.
