This article published in The Sunday Oregonian on 22 november 1903 mentions Arthur Conan Doyle as a property man for the Israel Zangwill's play Merely Mary Ann (1903).
Arthur Conan Doyle was casted to play Rev. Samuel Smedge (see cast), but did not turn up to take the role. Contrary to the article, it was not in London, it was in Wallingford (where the copyright premiere was held).
