The Daily Inter Ocean was a daily newspaper from Chicago (Illinois, US) created by Charles A. Dana (1819-1897) and published between 1865 and 1914.

Between 1891 and 1898, the newspaper published 12 short stories, 2 novels and 2 poems written by Arthur Conan Doyle. From december 1891, Conan Doyle was published in the supplement of the newspaper : "The Sunday Inter Ocean", and even in "The Sunday Inter Ocean Jr."
