- Arthur Holder was the son of Alexander Holder (BERY 103) and the cousin of Mary Holder (BERY 122).
- He witnessed his cousin Mary Holder giving the Beryl Coronet to her accomplice Sir George Burnwell, and bravely retrieves it in a struggle (BERY 449).
- Wrongly accused of the Blue Carbuncle theft, Arthur Holder was exonerated by Sherlock Holmes by deductions (BERY 562).
