In the Sherlock Holmes stories

  • Sophy Kratides was a young Greek woman from a wealthy family in Athens (GREE 421).
  • When Harold Latimer and Wilson Kemp fled Britain, she disappeared with them. The Hungarian police found them in Buda-Pesth (Budapest) all stabbed to death concluding that they had quarrelled and had inflicted mortal injuries upon each other (GREE 431).
