In the Sherlock Holmes stories
- She was the sister of Paul Kratides, the Greek gentleman whom Harold Latimer and Wilson Kemp kidnapped, imprisoned, tortured and killed (GREE 425).
- While in England, she fell under the influence of Harold Latimer who had acquired an ascendancy over her (GREE 422), and was effectively kept a prisoner by Harold Latimer and Wilson Kemp (GREE 428).
- She discovered her brother Paul Kratides was the tortured prisoner (GREE 221).
- When Harold Latimer and Wilson Kemp fled Britain, she disappeared with them. The Hungarian police found them in Buda-Pesth (Budapest) all stabbed to death concluding that they had quarrelled and had inflicted mortal injuries upon each other (GREE 431).
