In Search of... Sherlock Holmes is the 12th episode of season 3 of the American TV series In Search of... produced by Alan Landsburg Productions, aired on KNBC-TV (Los Angeles) on 21 december 1978, starring Leonard Nimoy as the host. 22 minutes.

The documentary hosted by Leonard Nimoy intended to explain who was Sherlock Holmes, concluding that it was Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself of course. With comments from crime writers (Peter Lovesey and H. R. F. Keating), and sherlockians experts of the time (Stanley MacKenzie, BSI, and Philip Dalton, SHSL).
