Jan 4 /93

My dear David,

Your letter gave us a hearty laugh as your letters usually do. The man who comes to write your life and letters should make a great humourous book. I wish I could come, but I am doing this coming opera at the Savoy, and what with the Composer, and what with D'Oyly Carte I can't even get half an hour on the ice. None the less many thanks for thinking of me! Kindest remembrances to Mrs. Thomson and every good wish for a good '93.

Yours always

A Conan Doyle.
