Mr. Fowler

In the Sherlock Holmes stories

Mr. Fowler was the suitor and future husband of Alice Rucastle.

• He was a seaman. (COPP, 579)

• He was a very kind-spoken and free-handed gentleman. (COPP, 580)

• After the Copper Beeches affair, he married Miss Rucastle, by special licence, in Southampton the day after their flight, and he is now the holder of a Government appointment in the Island of Mauritius. (COPP, 588)
