On board the treasure hunting ship "Xema"

The vessel is making a voyage to to mysterious island off the coast of Africa, whereon diamonds are said to be as numerous as pebbles. She left Cardiff on Sunday last, with Captain H. J. T. Grey in command (first photograph), and Lord Aberdare, one of the chief shareholders and promoters of the venture as a passenger (second photograph). The third picture shows the crew at work on the boat. Interested in the venture, besides Lord Aberdare, are the Earl of Albemarle, Prince Dhuleep Singh, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
