Paxton Whitehead as Sherlock Holmes in the play The Crucifer of Blood (1978-1979)

Paxton Whitehead (born 17 october 1937) is an British actor who played Sherlock Holmes 5 times : 3 times in The Crucifer of Blood between 1978 and 1979 with Timothy Landfield as Dr. Watson ; and 2 times in The Mask of Moriarty in 1994 and 1997 with David Schramm and Tom Lacy as Dr. Watson.
