"THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES," one of the late Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous Sherlock Holmes detective stories, has just been completed as a Twentieth Century-Fox picture. Basil Rathbone plays the great Sherlock Holmes, and is here clue-hunting, wearing his celebrated deer-stalker cap.

BASIL RATHBONE gives a remarkably vivid representation of Sherlock Holmes, perhaps the most famous detective in fiction.

SHERLOCK HOLMES as depicted in an illustration from the "Strand" Magazine of 1901, in which "The Hound of the Baskervilles" was serialised.

"My dear Watson...": NIGEL BRUCE as the detective's faithful, if somewhat slow-witted, medical friend.

A study of BASIL RATHBONE as Sherlock Holmes thinking out the difficulties of the eerie Dartmoor mystery.
