Thorley Walters (12 may 1913 - 6 july 1991) was a British actor who played Dr. Watson 4 times: in Sherlock Holmes und das Halsband des Todes (Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Necklace) by Terence Fisher in 1962 with Christopher Lee (Holmes); in The Best House in London (1969); in The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother, the British-American film directed by Gene Wilder in 1975 with Douglas Wilmer (Holmes); and in Silver Blaze (1977) with Christopher Plummer as Sherlock Holmes.

In 1983, he played Major John Sholto in TV movie The Sign of Four with Ian Richardson as Sherlock Holmes.
