The Crucifer of Blood is an American play written and directed by Paul Giovanni, performed at the Music Center, Ahmanson Theatre (Los Angeles, USA) from 5 december 1980 to 17 january 1981, starring Charlton Heston as Sherlock Holmes and Jeremy Brett as Dr. Watson.
The play is an adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's novel : The Sign of Four (1890).
Jeremy Brett will play, 4 years later, one of the most faithful Sherlock Holmes in the TV series Sherlock Holmes (1984-1994).
