In the Sherlock Holmes stories

  • His real name was Sutton (RESI 376).
  • He presented himself as a wealthy invalid with a weak heart, living in Dr. Percy Trevelyan's house as a "resident patient" (RESI 93).
  • He participated to the 1875 Worthingdon Bank robbery where the caretaker Tobin was murdered (RESI 381).
  • When they were released early, they tracked down and killed Blessington (RESI 308).
