Frank Finlay

Frank Finlay (6 august 1926 - 30 january 2016) was a British actor who played Inspector Lestrade in 1965 in the movie A Study in Terror (Inspector Lestrade) with John Neville as Sherlock Holmes and also in 1979 in the movie Murder by Decree with Christopher Plummer as Sherlock Holmes.
He also played Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1992 in episode The Other Side of the TV series Encounters with Richard E. Grant as Sherlock Holmes.
In 1994, he played Professor Coram in episode The Golden Pince-Nez of the TV series Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.
In 1980, he was reading as Conan Doyle in the radio show The Man Who Was Sherlock Holmes on BBC.
